Laminated safety glass is formed by joining two or more glass panes with one or more interlayers. If one of the glass panes breaks, the entire makeup will retain its structure, thus avoiding detachment of shards and maintaining structural integrity. In addition to protection, laminated glass can provide great sound insulation characteristics (more than 40dB).
One of the main characteristics of laminated glass, besides protection, is its flexibility. Laminated glass allows for combining a wide range of different types of glass (clear, low-iron, body-tinted or coated), organic materials (wood or stone), printing patterns and colors (RAL, Pantone or NCS), which makes it a perfect product for every requirement.
Laminated glass can be produced using different interlayers like clear, colored, acoustic or structured PVB and SentryGlas® interlayers.
Laminated safety glass is produced in accordance with EN 14449, ANSI Z97.1 and ISO 614.
