sgg STADIP ® - Laminated Safety Glass
Production

Laminated safety glass is a combination of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayers of plastic (PVB) offering high shear resistance. This process is done at high temperature and under high pressure. A PVB (Polyvinylbutyral) interlayer is either transparent or colored.
Standard PVB interlayers are characterized by a high degree of UV protection.

Depending on its final purpose, the laminated glass can be made of one or more interlayers of PVB. Decorative glass, glass for thermal insulation and solar protection, wired glass, tempered safety glass, or semi-tempered glass are also suitable for laminating. Laminated safety glass produced by FORMATOR is tested and certified by Stazione Sperimentale Del Vetro of Venice. Its conformity to the European standards EN12543-1 and EN12543-2 is indicated by the CE mark. Top quality of our products is assured through regular control during the production process.

sgg STADIP-COLOR ® - Laminated Safety Glass
with Colored PVB Interlayers
Application of colored PVB interlayers offers a wide variety of patterns while maintaining all the properties of laminated safety glass. Laminated safety glass made with colored interlayers is produced in 13 standard colors and widths of 1000 mm, 1600 mm, or 2250 mm.
sgg STADIP-SILENCE ® - Soundproofing
with Laminated Safety Glass
This is a range of laminated glass products manufactured using special interlayers that offer the ultimate in soundproofing. Such laminated safety glass can be used as single or insulating glass and is particularly suitable for use in spaces that we want to make more soundproof or spaces exposed to increased noise levels due to proximity to main traffic roads, airports, and railways. Use of the proper composition can give over 50 dB of noise reduction.
Laminated Glass Characteristics
  • If laminated glass breaks, the PVB interlayer holds the fragments together and continues to provide resistance to the passage of persons or objects, unlike tempered safety glass that breaks into small fragments .
use
  • Protection against projected objects
  • Protection against burglary
  • Protection against firearms
